elizabeth: The Otterbein Queer Digital Archive
Welcome to the Otterbein Queer Digital Archive. First created by Elizabeth White '26 in 2026, the Otterbein Queer Digital Archive collects and preserves the stories of LGBTQ students at Otterbein. Each spring, graduating LGBTQ students are invited to record an oral history of their time at Otterbein, and their experiences here as queer people and students. No two videos are exactly alike, covering a wide range of topics including the subjects' involvement in student organizations, the process of discovering their identities, and the queer-based research they undertook in their academic careers. The hope of this archive is that it can both preserve queer voices and stories that are too often lost to history, and that it can serve as a guide for future generations of LGBTQ students at Otterbein.
