Abstract
The job duties of a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator exist in a great multitude, and require those aspiring to obtain the position to complete training in all areas of focus. The focus of this practicum is to gain exposure to the job duties of a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator, while also gaining experience in a multitude of departments that function within a skilled nursing facility. This practicum was completed amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, and therefore emphasis was placed on infection control and procedures that allow for a safe environment for those residing in this nursing facility. This increased emphasis is atypical for a learning experience in this particular setting, however due to the COVID-19 pandemic, is necessary to properly serve in the Administrator position during this evolving period in time. This practicum aims to also begin completion of the Administrator In Training program, which is the established program that one must complete to gain licensure as a Nursing Home Administrator.
