This collection shows eleven mixed-media paintings that were made in 1992. For this series, Joanne drew inspiration from “the book of hours”, a Medieval lay Christian devotional tradition that produced exquisite, original illuminated manuscripts that focused principally on hymns and psalms, and other biblical topics.
