This exhibition presents the work of photographer Shivaraju B.S., better known as Cop Shiva, a name he adopted from working as a policeman for nearly a decade in Bengaluru (Bangalore), India. Largely self-taught, Cop Shiva began taking photographs of people and places he encountered on his beats. His work focuses on individuals who live on the fringes of society, yet embody the zeitgeist of contemporary India. In particular, performance and masquerade interest him.
