Fiber Content: Silk
Silhouette: Grey blue faille trimmed with silver and grey silk embroidery- perhaps Chinese motifs- sort of collar and flaps
Condition of Object: Pretty good
August 1987: Original lining was removed, hem was unraveled in back. Several obvious spots on back and hem. Washed complete garment after spotting severe areas and discovering that grey silk flowers was really aqua. Some threads undone with laundering but in all much improved. Restitched hem, collar lining at neckline. Lining of both collar and cape should be replaced with grey blue China silk.
