A black and white photograph of the Otterbein College Band with their instruments, dated circa 1890. Otto Cornell, a trombone player, stands in the back row near the center of the formation. The group is entirely white aside from the young black fluteist standing two spaces away from him. The back of the photograph is stamped with "Mulligan Bros.," the name of a professional photography studio in Columbus at the time.
