An advertisement for the Administrator's Sale of Benjamin Merriss' estate on Thursday, Dec. 7, 1865, which included the following: "one span of Work Horses, 1 Burbon Stallion, two years old; 6 heads of Cattle, 2 Cows, 2 two-year-old Steers, and 2 yearlings; 72 head of Sheep -- fat and stock; 1 one-horse Buggy, 1 two-horse Wagon and Harness; 1 Cane Mill and Pans; Corn in the field, Wheat in the bushel, Hay in the stack; Farming Utensils, &c."
