    This is a deeply moving new version of Alexandre Dumas * La Dame aux Camelias. The story of Camille revolves around the beautiful Marguerite Gautier. At the height ofher career she falls desperately in love with the son of the Marquis, Armand Duval. The Marquis makes every effort to prevent the liaison, but Armand turns his back on his family and fortune for a life of idyllic country bliss. But, unknown to Armand, Marguerite is threatened by the Marquis and forced to return to Paris a courtesan, dying of tuberculosis, and reviled by Armand.
