Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS) is fatal when not recognized early, nursing care can have a positive impact on patient outcomes. ARDS is a disease of the lung caused by an acute lung injury. ARDS accounts for 10-15% of ICU admission and is underrecognized.
