    Mount Union coach Nelson Jones was the head coach and athletic director at the university of Findlay from 1940-1948 compiling a record of 24-10-2. In 1949 he moved to Mount Union in the same positions. During his six-years in Alliance he had a record of 18-29-3. Known as “Mr. Athletics” at Otterbein he coached football coach from 1935-1938, 1942-1945 and 1951-1954. Besides football he coached basketball, track and served as athletic director.

    Denison coach Jack Carl (Denison ’41) was a member of coaching legend Bo McMillin’s staff at Indiana (1946) before moving to Hanover College (Indiana) as head coach for the 1947-1948 seasons.
